PETERSONS HISTORY

Ian Peterson ( a pharmacist) and his wife Shirley purchased the Mount View property in the 1960's as a hobby farm. By the 1970's Hunter Valley Wine Country was establishing its foundations. In 1972, the first plantings were established. In 1981, the first harvest was processed in the small converted dairy on the property. The rest is History.

Petersons Wines have a strong working team in our winery - tested to their limits in the busiest season - Harvest time. It is also one of the most stressful tests as we slave against extreme weather to produce magnificent results.
