The 2013 Hunter Valley “Back Block” Shiraz is black olive in colour with cerise/crimson hues.
- Bouquet
This wonderful wine has lifted aromas of wild red fruits and berries with hints of cinnamon, clove and vanilla. There are subtle hints of smoke and nuts.
- Palate
The palate has great line, length and structure. It is generous and full, yet restrained showing rich ripe red fruit of raspberry, sour cherry and wild strawberry. This is supported by a savoury, spiced and floral backbone with hints of all spice and soy. The finish is wonderfully elegant with soft fine grained tannins.
