Petersons Wines Armidale is located in the South East of Armidale in New England. The vineyard is located on a rich, red brown basalt hill facing to the north east, and is planted with Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Pinot Noir. Our first harvest was in 2002.
Situated on the historic Palmerston property in Australia's newest wine region of New England Australia. The Cellar Door which is situated in the restored horse stables has unique surroundings in which you can enjoy tasting our premium wine varieties including Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine produced from this vineyard has already won awards in the major wine shows.
The beautiful guesthouse, cellar door and grounds can be found on heritage listed Palmerston estate 7km from Armidale.
Colin & Judy Peterson lovingly restored the 1911 Guesthouse which now offers 7 elegant guest bedrooms with luxurious features including king sized beds, oversized spa baths and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Perfect for a stopover for a night or two in New England high country with waterfalls all around, you can be as active as you wish, or just relax amongst our stunning grounds. In winter, there is no better place to be than in our great hall with open fireplaces and a glass of Petersons Tawny. Our dining room provides stunning evening meals from local produce with an extensive list of Petersons best cool climate, Mudgee and Hunter Valley wines.
