Dark inky plum in colour with a dark raspberry hue.
The sweet aromas are of rich ripe stewed fruits, liquorice, fennel, clove and a hint of cinnamon and dark chocolate.
The big bodied wine has flavours of cherry and plum, blackcurrant and cinnamon along with more subtle flavour of curry leaves, aniseed, fennel and mocha. The oak tannin adds huge weight to the wine. As this wine develops the tannin will soften further allowing the fruit flavours to become more established and dominant. The finish is long, dry and soft.
