Vibrant, bright magenta in colour with crimson, blood red hues.
Aromas of lifted spice, overtly ripe red berries, smoke and an underlying savouriness with hints of black pepper and earth.
Big, rich, generous and soft. The palate shows ripe red fruits of sour cherry, raspberries with hints of rhubarb. The palate is supported by a nutty and smoky charred oak complexity. The finish is subtle, soft, dry and long with elegant fined grained tannin.
Enjoy with Aged Char Grilled Rump Steak, Venison Back-strap, Mushroom and Pea Risotto or Aged Pecorino.
Cellar for 8-10 years. (decant for 2 hours prior to consumption)
