Nose: Lifted, perfumed, alluring and slightly savoury. The upfront fruit aromas are of stewed plums and candied cherries. There are also nuances of earthy and gamey characters. This is supported by wafts of smoked spices of paprika and nutmeg.
Palate: Ripe, generous, elegant, soft and long. The upfront fruit flavours are of sour cherry, alpine strawberry and cranberry. The mid palate is spiced and savoury with almost cured meat flavours. The back palate is soft, long and dry with a cleansing acidity.
