2009 Cabernet Sauvignon, Mount Benson, South Australia
This wine has been provided to us from the cellars of the late Ian and Shirley Peterson, the founders of Petersons Family Wines. The Peterson Family hope you enjoy this special Museum release.
Decant prior to consumption. This is an aged wine and therefore a natural sediment is present. Please stand upright for 24 hours prior to decanting.
Vibrant blood red in colour with dark blood plum hues.
Lifted black fruits and cassis-like aroma. Hints of mocha and dark chocolate with lifted mint and eucalypt and a cedary background.
Rich, ripe, savoury, spicy and soft. An elegant Cabernet showing fruits of the forest character with blackcurrant and mulberry. The mid-palate shows herbal complexities of lavender, violets and mint. The back palate is dry, savoury and long with hints of lingering smoke.
Drink now.
Enjoy with lamb tangine, pot roasted duck, BBQ’d pork and fennel sausages, pea and mint risotto.
