Intensely dark in colour, almost black olive with purple and cerise hues
Powerful, rich, generous and hugely complex. The upfront aromas are of old styled boiled lollies and ripe blueberry. This is supported by aromas of wood smoke, black pepper and cooked rhubarb. There are also wafts of freshly roasted chestnuts.
Full bodied, multi layered and wonderfully mouth filling. The upfront fruit flavours are of black cherry, prune and hints of date. The mid palate is complex with layers of spice of mixed dried herbs, cinnamon, clove and cardamom. The back palate is full and long with an appealing nutty tannin finish.
