2019 Petersons Mudgee Arneis – unoaked Colour: Pale white gold in colour with yellow straw bright golden hues. Nose: Lifted and ripe aromas of nashi pear and quince supported by talc and fresh green herbs. There are also hints of musk and freshly cooked toast and honey. Palate: Ripe, generous, mid weight, savoury and soft. The upfront fruit flavours are of pink grapefruit and nectarine with hints of apricot. The mid palate is floral and spicy with flavours of honeydew melon, potpourri and dried basil. The back palate is dry and persistent with a steely and flinty natural acidity. Cellar: Drink now – 2 years. Food: Italian style garlic prawns, freshly steamed flounder with green olive tapenade & freshly squeezed lemon, Chicken, Thyme and pea risotto.
